Born and raised in Belgium, Ruben discovered his love for theatre at a young age.

After graduating in Physical Education, Ruben moved to The Netherlands to study Music Theatre at the Fontys Conservatoire. Whilst training he played Hamlet in Hamlet, Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Alan Strang in Equus. He gained professional theatre experience as Bernstein in Dogfight.

In 2016, he graduated from the Musical Theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music. Whilst training at the Royal Academy he played Robert in Company, directed by Sam Yates and Anthony in Sweeney Todd, directed by Michael Fentiman.

Recent UK concert work includes: Musical Theatre Classics, directed by Stephen Brooker.
