Olly Dobson as Vanveeteren in Bat Out Of Hell The Musical

Olly trained at The Arts Educational Schools, London.

Theatre credits include: Matilda (RSC, West End), Carrie (Southwark Playhouse) and The Selfish Giant (Vaudeville Theatre)

Theatre whilst training includes: Strephon in Iolanthe, FBI Agent in Catch Me If You Can, Bobby in Company, Jacey Squires in The Music Man and Che in Evita.

Other credits include: The One Show (BBC Television), Strictly Ballroom The Musical, (Stage Entertainment), Bugsy Malone (Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith), Rags the Musical in Concert (Lyric Theatre, West End), Beauty and the Beast (Camberley Theatre), The Laurence Olivier Awards 2013 & 2014 (Royal Opera House) and Kerry Ellis in Concert (London Palladium).

Most recently he has been performing as the lead, Marty McFly, in Back To The Future The Musical at it's world premiere at Opera House Manchester, which opened in February 2020.

Olly Dobson played the role of Vanveeteren in the ensemble of Bat Out Of Hell The Musical, from when it opened in Manchester in February 2017, through it's orignal London and Toronto runs, until it closed in toronto in January 2018. He also covered the roles of both Jagwire and Ledoux.

In July 2018, a series of free twenty minutes shows were performed over two days, at five different places in Germany, to advertise the upcoming production later that year in Germany. Olly took part in these shows, along with other past and new cast members.

He briefly returned to the show for a few days when it was running at the Dominion theatre, as an emergency cover for Ledoux in October/November 2018.
