Ellen Parks, C.S.A has more than two decades of professional casting experience, including both television and film, and ranging from low budget projects to network and studio fare. She has done casting work for Martin Scorsese, Alexander Payne, David O. Russel, Joel and Ethan Coen, George Romero, and David Letterman, in addition to working with numerous first time filmmakers. Ellen’s work is notable for high-profile ensemble casts (Flirting with Disaster), as well as for the introduction of new and re-emerging talent (Sideways, Secretary, Spanking the Monkey, Manny & Lo, Song Catcher), giving actors such as MacCauly Culkin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson, Vera Farmiga, and Maggie Gyllenhaal their first important roles. Actors from films she has cast have garnered more than twenty five acting awards and nominations. Ellen won a 2003 Artios Casting Award for Secretary, a 2005 Artios Casting Award for Sideways, a 2009 Artios Casting Award for Grey Gardens, and a 2009 Emmy nomination for Grey Gardens. Ellen has professionally coached actors on set, both here and abroad.
