Aisata Blackman as Zahara in Bat Out Of Hell The Musical
Aisata Blackman was born in the Netherlands, and has Caribbean and Surinamese roots. She toured as a soloist with Soul of Motown in Dubai, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and she excelled on the One Moment In Time Dutch Tour.
German audiences may know her from Showboat at the Bad Hersfelder Festival, as Apollo Girl in Rocky – Das Musical (Stage Palladium Theater) or as Deloris in Sister Act (Stage Theater des Westens Berlin). She also toured Germany in Sister Act in 2016/17, and appeared as Rachel Marron in Bodyguard (Stage Palladium Theater), and later returned to the show for a Tour.
She also became known on Dutch TV for her appearances in Soundmixshow (2001) and Dutch Idol (2015) She was also on German TV on The Voice of Germany (2012), during which she recording a cover of the single “Take On Me”, which was a hit and “Insomnia”.

Aisata played the role of Zahara throughout the German production of Bat Out Of Hell The Musical, which started previews at the Metronom Theatre in Oberhausen on November 2, 2018, and ran until September 19, 2019.
